If your family is experiencing a hardship that impacts a child's health, safety, education, or overall well-being, we encourage you to submit a confidential request for assistance.
Before You Apply
The Family Stability Program is designed to help families facing temporary hardships affecting a child and or children.
Assistance is based on demonstrated need, available funding, and alignment with The Lexington Foundation's mission.
Funding is limited and approval is not guaranteed.

Every request is reviewed with care, dignity, and respect. All information shared is kept confidential and used only to determine eligibility for support.

- Housing and Utility Stabilization Assistance when a child's health, safety, or well-being may be affected
- Therapy, Developmental, and Child-Focused Healthcare support expenses
- School Supplies, Educational Needs, and Child Enrichment Opportunities
- Essential Clothing & Hygiene Items
- Child-Related Transportation Assistance
- Emergency Child-Focused Expenses
- Referrals to community resources, public benefits, and support services
What To Expect
To help us understand your family's situation, we may ask for:
- Information about the hardship or challenge your family is facing
- Information about the child or children impacted
- Household and contact information
- Documentation related to your request, if available
- Information about any other resources or assistance already explored
Every request is reviewed individually and with compassion. We understand that every family's circumstances are unique.
Providing documentation is helpful, but not all families will have documentation available at the time of their request.
How Requests Are Reviewed
All requests are handled confidentially and reviewed individually.
The Lexington Foundation considers:
- Demonstrated need
- Impact on the child or family
- Available funding
- Alignment with the Foundation's mission
Families may also be connected with community resources and support services when appropriate.

Who can request assistance from The Lexington Foundation?
Individuals or families experiencing temporary hardship may submit a request for assistance. Requests may also be submitted by a trusted community member, school staff, or advocate on behalf of a family in need.
What types of assistance can I request?
Assistance may include help with heating or utility needs, emergency family support, or other short-term hardships. Each request is reviewed individually based on need and available resources.
Do I need to provide documentation?
Documentation is helpful when available but is not required to submit a request. Examples may include utility bills, shut-off notices, or a written explanation of hardship.
Is my information kept confidential?
Yes. All information submitted is kept confidential and reviewed only by authorized personnel. No identifying details are shared without written consent.
